Qadisha Grotto

Carved by the headwaters of the Qadisha River beneath Mount Makmel, Qadisha Grotto reveals sculpted chambers lined with curtains, pillars, and delicate calcite formations. Exploration began in the 1920s, and around 778 m of passages have been surveyed to date. A short footpath leads from the old Cedars road to the entrance, where guided visits take you along secure walkways overlooking underground pools and flowstone draperies. Pair your visit with the nearby Cedars of God and viewpoints over the UNESCO-listed Qadisha (Holy) Valley.
